Sergio Bariani

Representative of residential care facilities for the elderly (RSA)/public bodies providing social services (ASP)

Sergio Bariani, who graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pavia (Italy)

In 1988, started his activity in Fiat- Marelli Autronica in product engineering for the development of electronics in automotive.

He later worked in energy from both traditional and renewable sources directing multiutilty companies including: ASM Voghera SPA, Fabbrica Energia SPA,VEV SPA, in collaboration with major national and international players. He has been project leader for the construction of gas-fired thermoelectric power plants, power plants from renewable sources and district heating networks.

Since 1998 he has’ been co-founder of several companies including Gruppo Gheron SRL of which he is currently president. Gruppo Gheron is a leading company that operates in the social and health sector and manages a plurality of complex facilities in northern and central Italy. In particular: RSA, Hospice, Intermediate Care, Cognitive Fragility Units, Day Care Centers and Home Services.

The Company has a major expansion plan underway by building and managing facilities with high quality construction, management and the utmost respect for the environment.

The Group’s goal is to contribute to the development of the social and health care sector in order to meet the needs of the multi-pathological frail elderly, who are increasingly in need of qualified care and assistance in a rapidly changing social and demographic reality.
